1990  The sounds of decay

On the 1st of January 1994, Johor Bahru was officially given a city status. Johor Bahru city had expanded in size and had a vibrant central business district along Jalan Wong Ah Fook. Sungai Segget began to slowly decay and fade amidst the development that was taking place in Johor Bahru at the time.  But the smell of the decaying river continued to be an issue to its residents.
